The narrative thread for this passage I have chosen is Himmler’s life. Griffin often reflects on her life in comparisons to his. I see that thread between the hardships of Griffin’s life having a direct correspondence with the hard life that Henrich Himmler also had to endure at an early stage of life. Even though they are both a different sex and from different families they each had different challenges they had to face and different battles they had to fight. This essay and the blend between her life and his is very interesting to read, I believe its very relatable for most people to have experienced similar issues. I see this thread trying to demonstrate that regardless of the stature, sex, or race that you’re born into, you can still experience hardships just like everyone else.
